Ploughing and tilling break down the integrity of the soil crumbs, exposing them to erosion. Water drops and melt waters break out nutrients and sediment from the exposed soil.
Real Direct Seeding keeps the soil intact and the crumbs stick together. The soil surface is protected by stubble and straws. They prevent breaking down and leaching of the sediment with the water. The soil under Real Direct Seeding retains 70% more water and nutrients than tilled and ploughed soil.
